Description

Tribulation represents THE rising value of dark metal alongside bands such as Ghost, Paradise Lost, or even Opeth. From death metal, Tribulation draws inspiration from only a few elements, such as the vocals reminiscent of the great hours of Swedish death. Oscillating between death metal, progressive, atmospheric with a slight touch of very personal black, the "Opethian" influence (period "Orchid"/"Morningrise") is also always present. But the composers Johannes Andersson (bass and vocals) and Jonathan Hultén (guitar) are also great fans of horror films, and this is felt in the tracks. Tribulation also knows how to distill seventies doom sounds. A superb album, the beautiful surprise of this beginning of the year.
