The untitled new album by Trentemøller explodes with the force of a supernova before dissolving into enchanting vocals. Across ten tracks, maximalist noise guitar outbursts clash with some of the most impactful shoegaze of the year. "The noise has become louder, the dreamer more dreamlike," Trentemøller confides. The opening track, "Swerve," recorded with Viennese singer Sakura, crashes in with walls of scorching sound – a striking contrast to the enchanting atmosphere of "Dreamweaver" (2024). The radically intuitive energy of the album is found in the anthem "Visceral" and the industrial fuzz of "Your Love Walks Alone," featuring Sune Rose Wagner from the Raveonettes. A vaporous ambiance reduced to fractals of fragile beauty. For the first time in Trentemøller's history, vocals appear on every track – among the collaborators are Sakura, German-British singer Anika, Midwife, Tan Cologne, Sune Rose Wagner, Jonas Bjerre from Mew, and Danish singer-songwriter Emma Acs. Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and mixer – Trentemøller did it all himself. "I don't follow trends and I don't think in algorithms." The reward: to play the album live, from start to finish, for the very first time on the upcoming tour.
