Snowfall: The Tony Bennett Christmas Album

Description

The return of the greatest crooner for Christmas! Winner of 19 GRAMMY Awards throughout his career, the essential Tony Bennett warms up Christmas with ten of his best songs on this remixed and remastered vinyl reissue of the original platinum-certified album released in 1968: Snowfall - The Tony Bennett Christmas Album. This vinyl includes timeless Christmas classics “Winter Wonderland,” “White Christmas,” “Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town”... as well as Christmas paintings by Tony Bennett himself. Released on October 6, 1968 on Columbia Records, Snowfall: The Tony Bennett Christmas Album is the first Christmas album Tony ever released. Originally produced by Jack Gold, Snowfall features ten joyful swing versions of holiday classics, performed by the master of pop/jazz song accompanied by a large orchestra led by Robert Farnon, the album’s musical arranger. Tony and Farnon recorded the album during two historic sessions: six performances at Columbia’s 30th Street Studios in New York and four at CTS Bayswater in London. The new edition of Snowfall: The Tony Bennett Christmas Album includes a restoration of the album’s original cover by illustrator Bob Peak. The album has also been specially remixed and remastered for this 2021 pressing by producer and sound engineer (and Tony’s son) Dae Bennett, winner of seven Grammy Awards and a Primetime Emmy. A must!
