As Al Green was leaving the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, following the release of the album Back Up Train, for a tour that would take him to the top of the charts, producer Palmer James began to take an interest in another phenomenon from the same city: Tommy McGee. This led to Positive-Negative in 1976, the creative peak of a career marked by difficult moments. This double vinyl brings together for the first time McGee's timeless album, the singles released by Golden Voice, Mercury, TMG, and Tosted, as well as all the tracks from the T.M.G.'s, his emerging funk combo from the mid-60s.
