For fans of WATAIN, TORTORUM, DRASTUS, FUNERAL MIST, KRIEGSMASCHINE. Todestrieb is a Polish black metal duo formed in 2023 in Krakow by blein (guitars and bass) and Res (vocals and lyrics). After several months of hard work, the duo has finalized their first studio album, Corona Tenebra, which will be released in December by Avantgarde Music. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Watain, Odraza, Drastus, Kriegsmaschine, Tortorum, Funeral Mist, and many others, Todestrieb has managed to carve a path in the crowded black metal underground, stating that "these bands have influenced more the essence of our music than the form." Corona Tenebra consists of five tracks and an outro, and its lyrics, all written in Polish but translated into English in the album booklet, revolve around themes such as spirituality, gnostic satanism, blasphemy, theology, and philosophy. Featuring Mgla, Hauntologist, and Michal "The Fall" Stepien from Owls Woods Graves on drums, Todestrieb's debut album is a very diverse and fascinating vision of black metal.
