Houmaissa

Description

Houmaïssa is the name of a Tuareg symbol worn exclusively by women. With this new album, TisDass aims to pay tribute to women, the backbone of the family in Tuareg society. While the tempo has accelerated, there are still acoustic tracks, one of the hallmarks of Sahelian music (Tara l'amour, Itag Aguen beaucoup de choses se passent). The other tracks take the 180-degree rock turn desired by the band. The themes of the songs remain true to the demands and aspirations of the Tuaregs to live in peace: Taflist (trust), Derhan (hope), Ikewagne (Root).
