Private Dancer

Description

Acid Queen from The Who in Tommy and the rhythm’n’blues muse of the highly controversial Ike, Tina Turner would go through a period during which success would elude her. With the release of this album in 1984, the singer’s incomparable voice would once again reach a wide audience. The subtle blend of well-produced American pop and the powerhouse voice of the “Tigress” would relaunch her career. Driven by the hits What’s Love Got to Do With It and the cover of Al Green’s Let’s Stay Together, Private Dancer is the record of her comeback. Excerpt from the guide “La Discothèque idéale Fnac” 2016
