"Hot Dreams" reissued on clear "smoky and marbled" vinyl, hand-numbered! Three years after the release of "Creep On Creepin On", Taylor Kirk teams up this time with guitarist Simon Trottier for a production recorded largely in a museum of old instrument collections. A simply sublime album, reminiscent of the best of "Tindersticks" or a certain "Roy Orbison". If the two previous LPs showed a strong taste for experimental constructions, with arrangements that were at times quite quirky, "Hot Dreams" aims to be more open, less suffocating, with a generally more pop aspect in which the brass perfectly blends with the organ, mellotron, and other harpsichord, as well as guitars and saxophone. It gains clarity with ten compositions of crazy elegance for a twilight record, inspired by Hollywood cinema of the 60s/70s, never marked out, full of detours, dark paths, and seedy alleys in which one dreams of walking.
