Tim Hill's second album, Giant, is the result of an enhanced approach to music following his "simple and honest attempt at a first record." After driving down the 605 to Long Beach and setting up his workshop at Jonny Bell's Jazzcats studio, Hill played all the instruments himself, except for two outside musicians — one for pedal steel and one for violin. The result is an album infused with affection for artists like Randy Newman, Warren Zevon, and Neil Young, but reimagined through the lens of the modern cultural melting pot in which Hill lives. The first single, "Calico," is an ode to the festival of the same name organized by the Allah-Las in Point Reyes, CA. It's a simple anthem to youth and the love of youth. Previous radio support from FBI (AUS), KEXP, and KALX (USA). Successfully featured on the blog of the Dutch brand Tenue de Nîmes.
