Tim Curry, British actor and singer, recorded three albums during his career: Read My Lips, Fearless, and Simplicity.
Becoming an icon after his role in Rocky Horror Picture Show, he recorded in 1979, Fearless, his most accomplished album, which even reached 53rd on the Charts in the USA thanks to compositions such as I Do The Rock and Paradise Garage.
However, for ultimate rockers, it is other tracks that will remain etched forever in their hearts: S.O.S, No Love On the Street, and the cover of Joni Mitchell, Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire, highlight the work of Dick Wagner on guitar (Alice Cooper, Lou Reed), David Sanborn on saxophone (Michael Franks, Eric Clapton, Ian Hunter), and Bob Kulick on lead guitar (Kiss, Balance, Meat Loaf).
We find the superb voice of Dr. Frank-N-Furter that captivated us in Rocky Horror Picture Show in rhythms that are sometimes wild (I Do The Rock, Charge It), sometimes languorous (Something Short of Paradise).
The album is masterfully produced by the excellent Michael Kamen (Metallica, Pink Floyd, Queensryche, David Bowie, Queen).
What can be said about the bass-drums rhythm that accompanies Tim Curry on this album: Bob Babbit (R.I.P) whose wonderful playing can be found with Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Phil Collins), Charles Collins (Teddy Pendergrass, Lou Rawls, Billy Paul, Elton John). The track Sloe Gin appears on the previous album Read My Lips. Produced by Bob Ezrin (Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Kansas, Lou Reed, Kiss) and played by Dick Wagner, this original composition foreshadowed the album Fearless recorded the following year.
