Description

This is the work of a "classic" of the 20th century, the Kammerkonzert for clarinet, string quartet, and string orchestra by Karl Amadeus Hartmann (1930), which Jean-Luc Votano, principal clarinetist of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, records here alongside two compositions from the 21st century: the Clarinet Concerto by Magnus Lindberg, for which he had ensured the Belgian premiere with the OPRL, and Fantasme — Cercles de Mana by Johan Farjot. This composition for clarinet, viola, cello, and orchestra appears here in its world premiere on record before being presented to the public in concert halls. An album that reflects the virtuosity and musicality of one of the soloists of the OPRL.
