A dark and introspective odyssey Mixing subtly dark metal and more progressive parts in sublime catchy musical structures, "Dead City Blueprint" constitutes a poignant and desperate journey into an auditory purgatory where powerful guitars reign supreme. For their third album, the band went to record at the legendary Academy Studio in Dewsbury, England, a studio that has hosted My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Paradise Lost. Formed in 1995 in Yorkshire around the core consisting of Alan Gaunt, Paul Groundwell, and Daniel Mullins (also drummer of My Dying Bride), Thine began by delivering powerful atmospheric doom before evolving towards a more direct sound. The compositions of the combo can also be compared to another band from the Peaceville label, Katatonia, for their dark and emotional side.
