Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices is the second album from Welcome Wagon, a true follow-up to Welcome to the Welcome Wagon, released in 2008. Vito and Monique Auito simply open their arms to us, warmly welcoming us once again for 51 minutes of religious folk music. In the gentle vein of Asthmatic Kitty label releases, they offer music that is by turns joyful, contemplative, sweet, and uplifting: alternative folk made among friends, recorded in 5 days in the library of an old rectory in Brooklyn. Sufjan Stevens (producer of their first album) appears here as a guest musician with his banjo, piano, and vocals on the backing harmonies. Alexander Foote produced the album and also plays numerous instruments on it. The backing harmonies are also provided by their friends and internet "sensation": The Gregory Brothers.
