The legendary group The Streets returns with a brand new album 'The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light' scheduled for October 20, 2023. This album arrives 20 years after "Original Pirate Material", 14 tracks that forever changed the British garage and hip-hop scene. In preparation for 5 years, this new project was entirely written by its leader Mike Skinner, still considered one of the emblematic figures of British music. It will be accompanied upon its release by a feature film screened in a selection of cinemas in the United Kingdom. The album embodies the timeless essence of The Streets, showcasing the magic of Skinner's words and the refined rhythms he has developed over a decade spent building his other career as a bass-rap club DJ. While he is the main author of all the tracks that make up the project, he also collaborates with his long-time partners, Kevin Mark Trail and Robert Harvey, as well as the talented Teef.
