Silent Highway

At the beginning of the 80s, four young people from Glasgow exiled themselves to London to form what they would call at the time a "real" band. A band that would compose personal songs, full of emotion, with the aim of touching people.
No sooner had they arrived and already tired of the incessant changes in fashion of London at the time, they set out to create music that would stand the test of time, that would last: timeless music. The Silencers was born, and here they are today back with a tenth album: Silent Highway.
The recipe remains unchanged. Meticulously crafted tracks, exhilarating melodies, and sensitive lyrics. The twelve tracks that make up Silent Highway will leave a mark on you and resonate with you - a hypnotic groove that will make you tap your feet or dance to lyrics that are as authentic, sincere, or unreal as they are political, ironic, or amusing.
Created during the 2020 lockdown between Nantes, Rennes, and Glasgow, and co-produced by Jimme and Baptiste Brondy, drummer of the band Delgrès, Silent Highway was conceived by Jimme O’Neill as a true return to the roots of what shaped 'the' sound of the Silencers, namely their very first album A Letter from St. Paul, the one that started it all.
