To celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2002, the Rolling Stones embarked on a world tour that would last two years, performing 117 concerts in a wide variety of venues and stadiums across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. "Licked Live In NYC" is dedicated to the show on January 18, 2003, at Madison Square Garden in New York, where Sheryl Crow was invited to perform on "Honkey Tonk Women." Released incomplete at the time in the 'Four Flicks' box set, this concert has been remixed, remastered, and includes four unreleased tracks: "Start Me Up," "Tumbling Dice," "Gimme Shelter," and "Sympathy For The Devil," as well as three bonus tracks from Amsterdam and rehearsal footage. The SD Blu-ray also contains the documentary "Tip of the Tongue," which details the behind-the-scenes and preparations for the Licks world tour, from the recording studio in Paris to Toronto.
