Skin tight Inclus 1 titre bonus

Description

The first album recorded by the group Ohio Players for the Mercury label, Skin Tight is an album that fully lives up to its promises. As usual, the group illustrated its cover with a very suggestive photo. The music is in the same vein, a syncopated, sensual funk, dominated by a vigorous Fender Rhodes that is endlessly teased by an indefatigable wah-wah guitar and energetic brass. The tracks are mostly long jazz-rock instrumentals such as the very successful “Skin Tight” (#13) and “Jive Turkey” (#47) or “Is Anybody Gonna Be Saved?”, a brass-enhanced track, but the group also allows itself a few breaks with the languid soul slow jams “It's Your Night/Words of Love” (passable) and “Heaven Must Be Like This” (very good with its concert piano accompaniment).
