HAUSER, the young cellist propelled to success as half of the global sensation 2CELLOS (with a billion views on YouTube), releases his first solo recording titled Classic, accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra via Sony Classical. Each piece on Classic is one of HAUSER's favorite classical music pieces, which he chose to reinterpret on the cello, with the help of arranger Robin Smith and producer Nick Patrick. Compositions by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, as well as Puccini and Handel are featured on this album, which also highlights two contemporary works: those of James Last (The Lonely Shepherd heard on the soundtrack of Kill Bill Vol. 1) and Yiruma (River Flows in You, long associated with the first Twilight film). "It's simple," Hauser describes the album. "It's about the most beautiful, most romantic melodies ever written in classical music by the greatest composers, played on the cello, the most beautiful and romantic instrument there is."
