"The Jacksons" is the first album by the Jackson Five released under the name "Jacksons" in 1976 on the Epic label. The album was produced by two of the greatest producers of the Philadelphia soul scene: Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff. The producer duo is also known for producing albums for Billy Paul, The O'Jays, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, as well as MFSB and Dusty Springfield. This album is the first for which the Jackson brothers were able to write their own songs, which had been denied to them by their previous label Motown.
