It blends classic psychedelic soul sounds with vast orchestral arrangements, reminiscent of a European film score from the 1960s. The Changing Light evokes imagery of road trips, breathtaking views, and vast landscapes just waiting to be explored. The record navigates along the coast, where expansive orchestral arrangements rise and fall with the tide. As it heads north, the countryside opens up to an undeniable groove. Heavy tremolo guitars push through the vineyards, and timeless soul bass lines flow like wine. Up high, horns and trumpets soar like eagles. Below, a river carries the sounds of rumbling cellos through a mountain pass to a vast canyon. In the desert, a fuzzed-out electric guitar cuts through the dryness, leaving the listener thirsty.
