Passionate listeners of Habibi Funk may be familiar with Libyan composer/producer Najib Alhoush, whose track "Ya Aen Daly", a cover of the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive", was included in their second compilation. After further research, we discovered that Najib was actually the singer and founder of the group The Free Music alongside Fakhreddin, Salim Jibreel, Abdulrazzak 'Kit-Kat', Mukhtar Wanis, and Mohameed Al Rakibi. Initially, we only obtained a license for "Ya Aen Daly" by Najib Alhoush from Yousef Alhoush, Najib's son, who was delighted to learn that his father's music was generating interest abroad. All their albums are entirely dedicated to their unique blend of Disco, Reggae, and Funk. The vinyl and CD come with a full booklet containing information about The Free Music and Najib Alhoush, including words from Najib's son Yousef, as well as unpublished photos.
