Gently Down Your Stream
Description
'Gently Down Your Stream' marked a creative zenith within the Columbus, Ohio soul scene at the juncture of the 1960s and 1970s. The Four Mints were one of the most influential local harmony groups of their time, and, with the help of Capsoul purveyor Bill Moss, one of the few to release an album. The list of musicians enlisted to provide the soundscape reads like a Midwestern supergroup, with surprising appearances from vibraphonist Billy Wooten and drummer Bobby Allen of the Fabulous Originals. And while most of the tracks on the 1973 album 'Gently Down Your Stream' had already been released as 45s, the collection—five singles and a salvaged bonus track—showcases a world-class vocal quartet at its peak.Buy Gently Down Your Stream at the best price
