High Flyin' is a truly unique double live album recorded in the summer of 1977 by a Northern California band called The Ducks. This band used to play impromptu gigs in local clubs such as the Back Room, the Crossroads Club, and the Catalyst with the participation of Neil Young (guitar, harmonica and vocals), Bob Mosley (bass, vocals), Jeff Blackburn (guitar, vocals) and Johnny Craviotto (drums, vocals). During the magical period of The Ducks' existence, rumors surrounding their concerts and the excitement caused by word-of-mouth made the rare chosen spectators privileged to be able to boast about having attended these performances. These concerts and the two nights at the neighboring Magical Devices studio have been bootlegged for decades, but High Flyin' is now the official release that fans thought they would never see. It perpetuates the freewheeling spirit of The Ducks and proves that rock & roll is still full of surprises.
