The Deslondes are a five-piece band from New Orleans. Between the release of their self-titled debut album and their second record, Hurry Home, The Deslondes have traveled the world and been praised by critics for their crafted and inventive approach to country and New Orleans R&B. Hurry Home marks a sonic shift, moving from the country-folk of their early work to a gospel-soul sound that is sometimes psychedelic and electrified, with a greater emphasis on organ and electric guitar. The band shares songwriting and vocal duties among its five members, continuing its democratic spirit and musical versatility.
