Originally released on May 5, 2009, Gone Fishing was the mixtape serving as a prelude to The Cool Kids' first official album, When Fish Ride Bicycles. This project came out a year after their meteoric success The Bake Sale, which had established them as leaders of the new hip-hop wave, now globally known as "The Blog Era." For this project, the duo enlisted Don Cannon, a DJ, producer, and industry figure, famous for his legendary mixtapes with Nas, Lil Wayne, and Big Sean. His collaboration with The Cool Kids remains, to this day, his most successful mixtape. Gone Fishing has been entirely remixed and remastered.
