"Focus On Nature" is the new studio album by the famous post-psychedelic singer-songwriter Nick Saloman and his band The Bevis Frond. Seventy-five minutes of glorious melodies ranging from 60s psychedelia to English folk, through the Seattle art-punk band The Wipers, the pop of Dinosaur Jr, and Hendrix-worthy explorations. There is always an element of playful Englishness in their music.
They are heavily inspired by artists such as The Lemonheads, Teenage Fanclub, Elliot Smith, Pavement, and Dinosaur Jr.
Like its highly regarded predecessor, "Little Eden," the new album explores the weariness of the world but fills a larger canvas; fast food and climate change, broken hearts and nights gone by, everyday immortality…
All in a quirky blend of melodic melancholy, garage rock, and punky sounds.
