Sunflower - Surf's up

The Beach Boys' albums from the 70s are less known than those from the previous decade, but this CD, which brings together two albums, allows us to rediscover them. Sunflower, released in 1970, is a little gem filled with optimism and sublime harmonies (the band's trademark). Surf's Up, released the following year, is darker but just as magical. At this time, Brian Wilson is still capable of flashes of genius ("This Whole World," "'Til I Die"), but the other band members are also maturing as songwriters, as evidenced by some tracks from Carl ("Feel Flows") or Dennis ("Forever," beautiful). A must rediscover urgently.
