I Can't See Your Love (For The Tears In My Eyes), Pt. 1/ I Can't See Your Love (For The Tears In My Eyes), Pt. 2

Description

The Ballads were a four-piece band from Oakland, based across the Bay from San Francisco, led by singer Freddie Hughes, who would later sign with the Wand label. The group had their moment of glory, charting in 1968 with the Willie Hutch-produced track "God Bless Our Love," but these earlier recordings represent the group's best work. These two tracks, originally released on Vee-Jay, are highly sought after on specialized sites and evoke the heyday of The Temptations with an irresistible groove and brass arrangements. A must for soul diggers!
