Their 1979 album, 'Enlightened Rogues', marked a significant comeback for the Allman Brothers Band. The band had definitively stopped three years earlier, following a series of personal tragedies (the overwhelming deaths of his brother Duane Allman and Berry Oakley). In December 1978, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, along with drummers Jaimoe and Butch Trucks were already working together again, with the Allman Brothers Band completed by guitarist Dan Toler and bassist David Goldflies. The album opens with the catchy "Crazy Love," featuring backing vocals from Bonnie Bramlett, who also joined the band on the subsequent tour. The overall sound is country/bluesy, but they still sound like no one else. No music can move someone quite like theirs.
