Three years after "The Long Draw," the Texan songwriter settled in Marseille and released "Bound, Chained, Fettered," a collection of nine meditative and elegant tales: A songwriter from Texas, Terry Lee Hale is widely recognized as one of the godfathers of the Seattle music scene of the 80s. This soul traveler has been sharing his melancholic poetry on European stages for thirty years. The troubadour moved to Paris in 2004, before choosing Marseille a year ago. However, it was in Northern Italy that he ventured to record "Bound, Chained, Fettered." Nine new intimate and dreamy ballads, captured live with producer and guitarist Antonio Gramentieri. An album that is musically more adventurous than "The Long Draw." Light percussion and spacious interferences accompany many tracks. A subtle blend of synthesizer, piano, Hammond organ, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone, mellotron, and of course the textures of Gramentieri's six strings create an inspired soundscape for the power of Hale's voice and lyrics.
