DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present the highly anticipated debut album from Italian singer TEMPTRESS, Catch the Endless Dawn. Formed in 2018, the Italian band TEMPTRESS was founded by members of BUNKER 66, Children of Technology, Gargoyle, and Boia with the aim of unleashing their passion for the most dreamy and melancholic heavy metal bands of the 80s - cult names such as Proud and Randy as well as the timeless Heavy Load and Gotham City, among others - not to mention the darkness of masters like Mercyful Fate, all seasoned with a true obsession for catchy and melodic choruses. Their journey into dreams began with the song The Orb 7" for DYING VICTIMS in 2019, which was later compiled on the label's CD collection Dying Victims vol. 2: Heavy Metal Attack in 2023. Today, the sleepers have awakened and are arriving from the land of dreams with their debut album: Catch the Endless Dawn. Truly titled, Catch the Endless Dawn sees TEMPTRESS moving in a measured, dare I say, silky manner through sweet and high heavy metal on a gloomy melody, lively but never busy in their approach. The band's muse is certainly old metal, but there is subtlety and an almost muted sense of class in their writing and execution that elevates the album beyond the hordes of skinny headbands and flares: the former always seems thoughtful even when the mid-tempo pulse accelerates into a relatively controlled gallop, and the latter similarly uses restraint to its advantage while conveying the required amount of energy. Likewise, while the realm of dreams parallels the realm of fantasy, TEMPTRESS has a noticeably more delicate side compared to the D&D aspect of traditional metal, weaving something that is both emotional and hypnotic - truly, the "Dream Metal" they sing about so much here. Thus, the aforementioned influences are fitting, but the same goes for artists like early 80s Rainbow, April Wine, or even the obscure dreamy classic from Blue Öyster Cult, Club Ninja.
