Phonoram@s

Description

Tekemat is a French organic trance group from Saint-Malo, in Brittany. Founded in 2018, this unique formation creates an “acoustic sound system” that revisits techno sounds with a sousaphone (or soubassophone) and drums, without using samples or pre-recorded loops. While Tekamat’s very essence is instrumental music, the album “Phonoram@s” includes three sung tracks: “Comme il est,” written and sung by Guizmo (Tryo) and Senegalese artist Mariaa Siga; “Prisme,” featuring Ludo J (Highlight Tribe); and a striking collaboration with the Paimpol-based Moondrag for an explosive “Smoke on the water.”
