The fraternal dialogue becomes a design principle: Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn are associated here not as a mere anecdote, but as two converging languages, as revealed by the complicity of their correspondence. Alongside an original page by Fanny, such as the Adagio H 72, the program traverses the poetics of the Songs Without Words, in arrangements that transform them into a true chamber theater: Kreisler, Hermann, Eggericx and Menuhin transpose the piano writing to the violin while preserving the miniature finesse. Between original works and transfigured reflections, melodic thought shifts perspective: the piano becomes memory, the violin becomes voice. The famous Scherzo from A Midsummer Night's Dream opens the scene between light and shadow; the Sonata in F major, MWV Q 26, closes it in a broader formal breath, like a return to the source.
