Reissue of this collection of tracks composed and immortalized by Sidney Bechet — a major artist of the 20th century, an essential instrumentalist on the same level as Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker or John Coltrane — and performed this time by a group of artists from very different backgrounds and paths, all lovers of Bechet’s music: Charlie Watts, Elvin Jones, Lee Konitz, Taj Mahal, Pepsi and Urszula Dudziak alongside a few nato companions: The Lonely Bears, British Summer Time Ends, Lol Coxhill, Pat Thomas, Steve Beresford and Michel Doneda.
