THE FIRST GROUP OF JEAN JACQUES GOLDMAN. PREMIUM REISSUE, FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINAL EDITION — NEW MASTERING — GATEFOLD Created in 1972 in Paris by brothers Khanh Maï and Taï Sinh, Taï Phong is mainly known for two things: first, having served as a nursery for (yes, the same) Jean-Jacques Goldman returning from his travels across the Atlantic; and then for having recorded and released the summer slow of 1975, namely the magnificent "Sister Jane." When this first LP by Taï Phong is released, the musicians already have extensive experience: Khanh Maï is a sound engineer while Taï is an artistic director at a record label. Goldman learned piano and violin at a very young age and performed at the age of fifteen in his parish group. Beyond "Sister Jane," there are traces here of a genuine love for baroque atmospheres reminiscent of Procol Harum, and a beautiful balance is maintained between the guitars of Goldman and Khanh Maï and the keyboards of Jean-Alain Gardet. Everyone here demonstrates perfect instrumental and vocal mastery, culminating in the eleven oceanic minutes of a resplendent "Out of The Night."
