Once upon a time

Description

A journey to the heart of romanticism with an original instrumental ensemble, the viola, the clarinet, and the piano tell us, with poetry, the classic tales seen through Schumann. This chamber music project dedicated to the romantic clarinet is titled "Once upon a time..." Like all tales, it takes us into dreamy musical landscapes that were the source of inspiration for the romantic period in general and Robert Schumann in particular. The pieces played here wonderfully depict this pastel of feelings thanks to high-level interpreters: Tabea Zimmermann on viola, Jörg Widmann on clarinet, and Dénes Varion on piano. The record allows us to discover, still on this theme of traditional tales, the subtle compositions of clarinetist Jörg Widmann. A perfect pairing.
