Szymon NEHRING is one of the most talented Polish pianists of the young generation. Born in 1995 in Krakow, he started playing the piano at the age of 5. He received his musical education in Krakow in the class of Olga Lazarska and then in the piano class of Professor Stefan Wojtas at the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music. Currently, he is studying at the Yale School of Music under the guidance of Professor Boris Berman. Winner of numerous music competitions. He won the First Prize at the "Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam" competition in Bydgoszcz (2014).
In 2015, he was the only Polish pianist admitted to the finals of the prestigious International Frédéric Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, winning an award and several special prizes, including one for outstanding artistic creation and for merits for Polish music. In May 2017, he won the First Grand Prix at the Artur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv as well as five special prizes (for the best interpretation of Chopin among others).
