This retrospective is both the strength and the weakness of the record: very unusual but a bit too heterogeneous. Nevertheless, we find the personality of the gang that never takes itself too seriously, approaching all styles from a delirious angle. The singer Serj Tankian pushes his screams while rolling the r's, more in the spirit of Nina Hagen than Max Cavalera. The heavy metal riffs, sometimes dark, are linked to delirious punk breaks, and Eastern melodies, with lyrics that remain as sharp in the face of the American dream. In short, a joyful mess that will delight all fans.
