Sweet Savage is back with Bang, a band with precise riffs, powerful drums, and poignant lyrics. Founded in 1979 in Belfast by bassist and vocalist Ray Haller, followed by Dio/Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, Sweet Savage was part of the first wave of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Unlike many of their contemporaries such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Saxon, they did not release a full album in their early days, becoming underground legends. By the time Metallica covered their track "Killing Time," the band was already cult. With Bang, Sweet Savage returns in top form. Far from nostalgia, its roots remain undeniable: aggressive metal with industrial textures and the DIY spirit of punk.
