From the opening detonating chords of "Crushed by Demons," it would be fair to assume that Sweet Death and Ecstasy is simply classic MIDNIGHT... until the track's length nearly doubles what a typical song from the band would be. This is not mere bloat, however: framed by two of the band's longest songs to date, Sweet Death and Ecstasy lays bare a more anguished and aggravated MIDNIGHT, still in thrall to the usual subjects (LUST, FILTH, SLEAZE) but speaking a slightly different, more poisoned tongue. It is both heavier than ever – even heavier than the band’s earliest EPs, arguably – and it also reins in to strike in a most unholy manner. Indeed, MIDNIGHT truly delivers Sweet Death and Ecstasy in 32 minutes, and it is absolutely addictive. Furthermore, the CD version will include a bonus disc that is a 12-song live rehearsal recorded in 2015 by Commandor Vanik. There is no dawn for MIDNIGHT... ever!
