Born in southern Ukraine, Svetlana Andreeva's musical youth flows through the Moscow Volga. After a brilliant academic career in Vienna, Synesthesia now takes her on an unprecedented French adventure with Sfumato Records. Newly established, the French label specializes in creation, which it is committed to defending alongside leading artists and institutions from the international scene. This recording thus marks the first milestone of this exciting and ambitious endeavor. The pianist explores the works of French composer Christian Schittenhelm. From "La valse du chat" to the star "Zaniah," Svetlana Andreeva's virtuosic piano plays delicately "through the window" of her life. "Cinq fleurs" bloom in five beats, just to say that being different is "not a tragedy." For her, "Les cerises sont grises." The passion for music is a "wild sonata."
