LP reissue (180 g.) of SUN RA's very first album (also called Jazz by Sun Ra), recorded for TOM WILSON's Transition label in 1956. The sound is more polished than the rehearsal recordings later released by Saturn, and innovation, we certainly won't complain, is already peeking out. Bold harmonies, revolutionary choruses (enjoy JOHN GILMORE's on Brainville and Future) and an organ anticipating SUN RA's sound in the coming decades. Also note a very swinging Lullaby For Realville with finger snapping, bop cadence, and a kettle solo (!) on Call For All Demons.
