Formed in Dortmund, Germany, in the heart of the multicultural Ruhr region, Sua Galera brings together nine musicians who first met on the city’s jazz scene. Led by keyboardist and producer Eskil Bauer, the collective carries a multinational identity that is reflected both in its sound and in its name: “Sua Galera,” which means “your crew” or “your mates” in Portuguese. Driven by vocalists of Brazilian and Moroccan origins, the project naturally blends varied cultural influences to create a warm, cohesive musical language.
