« Stone Angel » is the eponymous album of the English folk group Stone Angel, released in 1971 on the Seashell label. Originating from the rural counties of Suffolk and Norfolk, the group offers a record that deeply reflects this grounding: a traditional English folk music solidly rooted, but tinged with that characteristic psychedelic touch of the era. The album stands out for its stripped-down acoustic arrangements (guitar, dulcimer, female vocals) and intimate, pastoral atmospheres, blending ballads and ancient melodies in an "acid folk" vein reminiscent of bands like Pentangle or Fairport Convention.
