«Still House Plants» marks the first vinyl release of the band's self-titled debut album, originally published in a very limited run on GLARC in Glasgow. Recorded and mixed directly to tape at Green Door Studios with Emily and Stu, the album captures the quartet at the beginning of their journey, in the summer of 2016. The performances are instinctive and exploratory, allowing ideas to breathe through repetitions, silences, and subtle variations. Rather than a fixed identity, the album offers a snapshot of a group discovering its common language. Stripped down and focused on the materiality of tape, Still House Plants serves as an initial artistic statement that lays the groundwork for their future evolution.
