Stevie Nicks will enter history next March by becoming the first female artist inducted for the second time into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, first in 1998 as a member of Fleetwood Mac and this year for her extraordinary solo career spanning nearly 40 years. To celebrate this event, Rhino has selected the most essential recordings from her studio and live albums, her contributions to soundtracks, and her most famous collaborations (with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Don Henley, Lana Del Rey, Lady Antebellum, and many others...). In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks began her solo career with her first album Bella Donna. This huge success sold over five million copies in the United States. It reached the top of the charts and produced four singles, including the anthem Edge Of Seventeen. Other platinum albums would follow: The Wild Heart (1983), Rock A Little (1985), and The Other Side Of The Mirror (1989). Excerpts from her eight albums are included in this anthology, from the hits Stand Back and Talk To Me to The Dealer, taken from 24 Karat Gold: Songs From The Vault (2014). In STAND BACK, these solo tracks are accompanied by memorable collaborations, including Stop Draggin' My Heart Around with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Leather And Lace with Don Henley, You're Not The One with Sheryl Crow, and Beautiful People Beautiful Problems with Lana Del Rey. Beyond her studio recordings, STAND BACK also explores Stevie Nicks' stage career with dazzling live performances, including excerpts from the 1981 Bella Donna tour (Dreams and Rhiannon) and her 2009 live album The Soundstage Sessions (Sara and a cover of Crash Into Me by the Dave Matthews Band). This anthology is completed by her contributions to film music, with Blue Lamp, taken from Heavy Metal, and If You Ever Did Believe from Practical Magic.
