This box set brings together the original soundtracks of five essential films by the filmmaker, from Ivan's Childhood and Andrei Rublev, scored by Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov, to Solaris, Mirror, and Stalker, where Eduard Artemyev introduces electronics, environmental textures, and acoustic timbres into his collaboration with the director. Restored with the aim of preserving their original character, these scores allow us to trace the transition from orchestral and choral writing to the unique soundscapes developed by Artemyev. Cold Spring collects them in five individual CDs, accompanied by cards reproducing Soviet and Japanese posters of the films.
