Guitarscape marks a new chapter for Steve Howe, YES and ASIA legend, as a master of the guitar. This instrumental album features 14 varied tracks ranging from rock to acoustic and classical, each bearing Howe's unique signature. He uses acoustic, electric, pedal steel, and bass guitars, and collaborates with his son Dylan on drums. Steve wrote and produced all the tracks, exploring new structures and sounds with a Novation Summit keyboard. The album is characterized by unconventional chord sequences, favoring improvisation while remaining melodic. The dynamic between Steve and Dylan is instinctive, creating a beautiful musical synergy.
