Legendary hip-hop group Souls of Mischief’s sixth album, There Is Only Now, is a unique 90s cinematic narrative about love, loss, and revenge. A conceptual collaboration with producer Adrian Younge released in 2014 on his Linear Labs Records label, There Is Only Now was inspired by an incident that almost cost A-Plus, Opio, Tajai, and Phesto their lives early in their career. Taking place in 1994, There Is Only Now capped off two decades of musical careers since the release of their seminal debut album, 93 Til Infinity. Souls of Mischief and Adrian Younge created a one-of-a-kind hip-hop album. There Is Only Now proves that after two decades in the rap game, the Fab Four of hip-hop remain committed to furthering their legacy as innovators and pioneers of hip-hop.
