Eight musicians pick up their brass wind instruments, lock into an instinctive groove, and juggle musical genres like an eclectic playlist, moving from jazz and R&B to hip-hop, pop, and beyond with fire, focus, and fluidity. Hailing from New Orleans, the Soul Rebels push musical boundaries with unwavering originality. Far more than just a backing band, this octet—Julian Gosin [trumpet, MC], Marcus Hubbard [trumpet], Lumar LeBlanc III [snare drum], Derrick Moss [bass drum], Corey Peyton [trombone, MC], Erion Williams [saxophone], Paul Robertson [trombone], and Manuel Perkins Jr. [sousaphone]—is a pioneer in integrating their instruments.
